You guys are in for a real eye opening experience. While the plane is bigger than an RJ, you will get to fly about 1-2 legs a month, be gone more, have your body destroyed through every time zone on earth, and work in a great environment where everybody is ****ed off and telling them that flying a 74 for crap wages is better than a RJ job will be met with lots of positivity for your 15 hour flight together. Welcome aboard.

It baffles me how we still have people showing up for interviews still. Are candidates not aware of everything that is going on here or do people just want a fast track to fly a 747? Despite what you were probably told in the interview, we will not have a contract by the end of this year, nor will you make $90K your first year. Just something for applicants to keep in mind.

This coming Wednesday, unless you were going to be placed into the few remaining slots in the 5/15 class..of which you'd have heard already.
Again, this is only what I'm pretty sure I overheard. So definitely don't take it as solid info.

We were told expect something by June 11th. I interviewed on the 4th. Think I fumbled on a couple easy tech questions...hopefully getting two of her bonus questions correct made up for it!!!
But no real feedback from anyone on my panels. They are good at not hinting either way lol!

They actually seemed very forthcoming about the pay, schedule, and negotiations. It was almost as if they presented it all in a worst case scenario and then asked if you are sure you could live with that? 4 months at $1600, then guarantee hours only for the first year, and no idea on a timeline for a new CBA....can you live with that? I didn't get the impression at all they were selling it for more than what it is at the moment.
Cant fault their honesty there and if a pilot joins has basically forfeited his right to complain as he was well aware.

Well they must have recently changed their tune. It wasn't too long ago that I was flying with new hires who were told during the interview that they would make 90K first year.

That honesty is a new concept for them. A month ago you'd make 90k your first year and a new cba would be signed by October. Looks like they've got enough applicants now where they aren't forced to con all their applicants.
