Well here's the rub.....you want to fly for Atlas (despite the Kamakaze trajectory of the company.) Fair enough, you apply, jump through the hoops and get a job offer......AT SOUTHERN. You professionally decline the kind offer and now where do you stand in this process? Bait and switch, coercion, deception, call it what you want but Atlas are vindictive and if you decline the offer you may not get the Atlas offer......lucky you! Do yourself a favor and wait untill the curtain drops on this $hit show, one way or another.
Where did you get 9? I thought it was 6.....and you previously stated 5! Which is it?

This just makes you look like an angry poster. I have no experience whatsoever with anyone who has personally felt that they were deceived or coerced, or given the bait and switch. Nor have I heard of anybody being given an Atlas interview and then been told to go to the triple. I'm not saying is isn't happening but for as many people as I fly with and as many people as I talk to (and I personally know people in the training center as I am sure you will say you do as well), but this kind of report just hasn't made it's way to me via other channels except the rumor mill. Are you getting this all from the ATAM because it sure sounds like it? (you know that the ATAM is just for "entertainment" purposes right?).
I fly just like you and talk to umpteen people as well so unless you have details to substantiate your claims, your post will fall on to deaf ears as a previous poster also suggested thereby rendering your message useless.
So, unless you are a SOUTHERN pilot, how would you know?.....oh, wait, because it happened to a buddy, right? If you are a Southern pilot, you took the job so it can't be that bad. And if it is that bad, I am sure you are trying to leave. Have I covered all the bases?
You could have easily sent the same message minus the rhetoric and probably been more effective. just sayin.

Ease up there buddy. The last two paragraphs of your post are very sarcastic.
Whether you want to believe it or not the company is offering Atlas Applicants interviews with Southern. I have 2 friends in that exact situation. Neither applied to Southern.
It is happening whether your sources in Miami have told you or not.

Dave, you are such a sad individual. You are either a management stooge (in which case I may have a modicum of respect for you.) Or you are a pathetic inadvertent apologist on their behalf. I will only address one or two points from your rant to spare the boredom of others. The ATAM may be entertaining, that does not mean it is for entertainment. Any adult who claims to be professional but ends a missive with "just sayin" will get the respect they deserve. The floor is all yours, I'm done engaging with you.

If a company accepts an application for one side that pays better and has better work rules and then offers an interview with the worse side you think that isn't at least a little bit shady? Especially when you throw in that the recruiter said the senority lists would be merged by the end of the year. When the CEO has openly said there will be no increase in compensation expenses for labor, you really think telling people the lists will be merged by year-end isn't deceptive?
No one is doubting that people are leaving. Just take one look at the "delayed" seniority list and it will confirm what you are suggesting. It is not because they "washed out" as you say. People are leaving for various reasons, mostly for greener pastures. You have already said that you'd leave too if you had a better offer. Right?
Where did you get 9? I thought it was 6.....and you previously stated 5! Which is it?

And just because you choose to disbelieve what we say, that doesn't mean that what is said here is incorrect. But, you are getting very close to calling us liars and that is putting you in a class of people who are management tools. If you suspect someone has something wrong, help correct them in a constructive way. Don't belittle them. Don't challenge them. Don't be a jerk.
You say that you understand that the company is suing us, that we are underpaid, that we have a crap contract, that other pilots are leaving in large numbers, and yet you are STILL arguing with your fellow pilots about their observations and information. Almost every one of your posts is antagonistic against either the union or other crew members who are trying to warn aspiring Atlas pilots of the perils of this job.
You need to take some time to reflect on why you are so contrary and reevaluate why you end up trying to minimize and refute the reality of our situation.
This thread has been going for a few years now and is a valuable resource for pilots who want the inside story about getting hired and working at Atlas. Your posts so far add nothing constructive to the purpose of this discussion.
