Yes. Just re-posting this vid. I didn't see it on the other forum yet.

ATTENTION ATLAS APPLICANTS:

Latest rumor from the school house is that 50% of a recent new hire class got pink slipped when they failed their initial new hire check rides. While they were ultimately retrained and were passed, the failures like this remain on FAA records and could have a devastating effect on a pilot's chances of moving from Atlas to a "career airline".

It is unknown if these failures are due to inexperienced students, lack of instruction, a misguided attempt to prevent attrition, or a combination of some or all of these factors.

The bottom line is that not only is Atlas management actively engaged in a concerted effort to cut our salaries and eviscerate our work rules, but taking a job here could actually be a severe detriment to your professional airline career.

It appears that Atlas is not even a good stepping stone anymore.

Beware!

"Stepping stone." More like a land mine these days.

Just curious, was it a 747 class or 767? Inquiring minds want to know.

Thanks

And as a bonus for all new hires, the FAA now requires Atlas to give all FO's Pilot In Command Proficiency Checks (PIC Check Rides) every year. This test includes a two engine failure procedure on the 747.

as if this job doesn't have enough hazards ...

So, go the 767 route. In guessing they don't do the 2 engine out procedure?

Actually at my last Airline on the 757 we were finished the check ride and the instructor put us on down wind at 3000' and shut off both engines and he said put it on the runway.
