Nope, there does not seem to be a pattern like that. There are a lot of long time swimmers and it seems the classes are filled from several interview sessions...

How is Altas regarding mil leave inside your IOE? and is IOE one year? Reason being, is if I were lucky enough to get hired, placed in the pool and get a phone call for a school date and finish school just to in time for my AEF rotation with the guard how would they feel about that?

You are reading correctly indeed but I'm new to this world. Please educate me on the differences and rules on each if you have the time!!

JetJock - I'm proud that my probably dumb question generated your first post ha! thanks though. Ok, so one should be IOE complete in the first couple trips I assume,...and Atlas has the industry standard one year probationary period correct? What happens if I am forced to deploy say for 30-60 days inside of that? I get $hitcanned?

Probation is the standard 1 year with company that doesn't, for the most part, have to do with flying. More on this at the end. If you miss a trip for a bad reason, call in sick too much or suspiciously, yell at a scheduler, tick off a chief pilot, or simply have some kind of disorder that can prevent you from being an airline pilot and showing up to do your job day in and day out, you can get canned. This has NOTHING do with taking military leave. That is, unless you abused it in some fashion and it got found out.
Sometimes if something happens to you when flying, and you pooch a screw, you can be let go as you are on probation and may not be afforded certain protections that a pilot off of probation would be afforded. But that's a topic for whole different thread.

DOJet,
Thank you very much and I know explaining that to me took probably 5 minutes of your life you won't get back,...I truly appreciate it. So the short answer to my question is,...if forced to take 1-2 months of mil leave within my probationary period it would be accepted??? albeit frowned upon,...correct??

But your USERRA is what's governing here. The airline has pretty much no say. Unless, like I mentioned, the mill leave wasn't legitimate and was getting abused. It's happened. And just about every airline out there is accommodating to service members, so don't feel as if it's "frowned upon", or will reflect negatively on you at the company what so ever.
It's not at all uncommon of a guy to get hired (anywhere), complete his IOE, get signed off as good to go, then go back into his guard/reserve unit right away. Or simply do his month to month line flying and getting his trips, or portions of trips dropped to fulfill the commitment.
