It's true, Atlas kicked me loose after about 9 weeks deep in training. No real reason, no major issues in training, no explanation. My whole class was in awe. My sim partner didn't help either but hey, what can you do? I have an Idea why, which is nearly illegal in nature but why spend a ton in legal fees to be at a company like Atlas and be THAT guy. Since my departure, I've gained a position where I am much happier. If you do go, good luck and have fun!

Even if what you say is true - and that's a big stretch until proven otherwise - it is exceptionally rare.
Atlas simply does not fire people for no good reason in training. Every story I've ever heard - there was a reason. Just busting a ride isn't enough. That happens. Getting fired takes something more.
9 weeks in, that's type ride time, or very close to it.
You don't have to prove your story to me. You've moved on and are somewhere better. Good for you. But for those on the outside, Atlas has a lot of problems currently, but not with firing guys in training for no good reason.

I don't like to pull any punches when it comes to flaws with Atlas, and the training side has more than its share, but I find this hard to believe. With very few exceptions, every instructor i've had wanted me to succeed and would give me every chance to do so.

I have heard a few stories but with over 360 people added in the last year and a majority are happy with the training and the instructors - I think this is an isolated incident.

You were fired because your attitude sucked or issues with the background check. After 9 weeks the background check was definitely cleared by that point so I'm going with crappy attitude aggravated by a less than helpful sim partner.
The training department in all its faults and imperfections has never caused someone to be fired for no reason at all. You earned it.
Until you own what happened, admit that you handled the situation poorly, you will never get better as a person or a professional pilot.

How many years at Atlas to does it take to earn about 140K-150K range as an FO? (not including 401K match or per diem)
EDIT: Maybe a better question is what kind of a credit do you guys average per month?
