If it's some mom and pop operation and you make a gentleman's agreement to work for x amount of time to justify training costs, I understand about feeling bad. However, with regional airlines, you should not lose one second of sleep over of the prospect of getting your time and getting out. It's practically modus operandi at the regionals. They are used to, even expect pilots to leave at any time, including during initial training.

Think of it this way: They would not hesitate to furlough you if they needed to cut back and nobody in management would lose any sleep.

It's just business.

Anyway, what Dutch said. Apply anyway. You never know.

Sounds possible that I went overboard and screwed myself.
The thing is - it doesn't matter. If they never call, they'll certainly never tell you why, so why worry about it? Call HR until you reach a human and ask about your status.

2 times in 3-years for me.....YMMV

The tech portion bears no weight on you getting hired. It is only performed to gauge your personality and to verify that you're not a absolute moron.

Don't know if this was published before but expecting to hire 400 to 450 pilots in the 747 400 this year. Last year all new hires were based in ANC. Able to bid to lower 48 in 3 to 9 months. 3 767s to be acquired this year and possibly many more than that. Pilots hired to 767 this year is unknown.

Im a 17 year 747 400 Captain and check airman. Don't know how to change status under name (not a new hire..)

It's an APC message board thing. You're relatively new to the forum, as you post more it'll change.

So keep your good info/Intel coming to keep with the spirit of the thread.

That status changes as a function of how many posts one puts up here.

Based on my experience, all parts of the interview were simply to make sure you have the experience your paperwork shows, make sure you're not a complete tool, and more importantly, make sure you're somebody that they can spend a 17 day rotation with.
