In over six years here I've not been called to report in 1+30 once. It's obviously possible to have it happen and one can't afford to disregard that but it's unlikely.

I have a fast pass to see Atlas in BNA at the WIA conference. This is my third time visiting them at a job fair. Im not sure at this point what is holding me back from getting the test. I am a 10 Year regional captain, 4 year degree, no check ride failures, no accidents or incidents. I have watched many many friends go, many with way less time than me. It's a super easy application and Ive paid the money to have a professional looking resume. Any clue what Im missing or need to show them at this next job fair. I live close to CVG and i'm ready to make the jump to a hopefully life long career. thanks
I wonder what the delta is between 16% of one's annual gross into the DB is after 30 yrs compounded monthly at a 7% rate of return verse a 5% match on your contribution after 30 years compounded monthly at a 7% ROR? hmmm, a lot!

Apexphoenix: They are not going to give you a look because of your ability to leave. Straight out of senior executives mouths: they are now trying to hire folks that will be stuck for whatever reason. Sorry... You are now over-qualified! Honestly you don't want a piece of this action. Good luck.

I got the invite to test with an internal rec from a friend. Attended the job fair 2 days later and had a great interaction (she even recognized my name from having emailed me the test invite) Told me to make myself available for interviews the week after next. Got another invite to test after the fair (pretty sure everyone who attended and was qualified got one) Passed the test with a 100% (no kidding..it's not that bad)
Call never came. Interviews came and went. My friend on the inside has been pulling for me....but still crickets after 2 months. I'm a military heavy guy with immediate availability and about the standard hours a mil guy gets hired with. I met people at the fair that were both impressively more qualified than me military and civilian.....and far less qualified that were all subsequently hired.
If I were you I'd use my fast pass and hard earned dollars to talk to other carriers present at the fair....just my opinion. As for me, I'm still hoping for a call and will attempt contact at appropriate intervals and see what becomes of it.
And before I get burned at the steak by the same 6 or 7 folks on here for wanting to work for Atlas... A military guy that is off active duty, keeping current part time (and paid part time) at a reserve unit with a wife and kids needs a ******* JOB. I have blanketed the earth with resumes and applications. I've read every single page of this thread and I know the problems and the uncertainty of what lies ahead. Familiar with the schedule, familiar with the type of flying. God help me, I really enjoy it. Please, no speeches.
