He isn't being dramatic, he's just being realistic. The future of working for the company today is much different than what it was a month and a half ago when most of the guys getting classes now, interviewed. A month and half ago I was trying to get all my friends hired, now I am telling them to hold on. Our union has a gun to it's head and who knows if management is going to pull the trigger.

The last sentence is hilarious. They're gonna pull the trigger...omg!....they're gonna do it.....As you can see we have our share of drama queens here.

I appreciate all the opinions...good, bad, and ugly. It helps me make an informed decision. That said...do you expect people to make life decisions solely based on anonymous rants from people on the internet?
Personally, I prefer to have everything relating to working for Atlas in one thread. It makes it easier for me to keep up with it, which is usually done on a phone while sitting somewhere waiting for my next flight.

Atlas management is actively trying to slash our pay
I DID read one anonymous poster who said he thinks we will all move to the Southern Contract as a replacement for the split Atlas/Southern contracts we now have. I think his opinion is way off base.
I would appreciate any feedback or info...positive or negative.
Namaste.

First I've heard of this...can you share some details and sources? Haven't heard anything remotely like this from the company or the union.

Realistically I don't think we'll get worse. I think their goal is to get everyone riled up and scared and use the amalgamation threat to get us to accept a marginally better contract vs fighting for a lot better.
BK did say in the last union call in that it is possible for our contract to get worse in an amalgamation.

You're not crazy. It's the standard union busting playbook. We all know it. We just need to get everyone onboard with the idea that we actually DO have to fight for better and not wind up with scraps. Remember, it wasn't a long time ago that FDX, UPS, and SWA had crappy, second-tier contracts.
