Atlas Air Hiring
- I interviewed on 1/20, preferred hire list on 1/22, still waiting for a class date.
Cheers.

Giving someone a true picture of Atlas includes the "contract crap." Otherwise, they come here with their heads buried in the sand, and 1) that's unfair to the newhire, and 2) it's unfair to the rest of us who want to improve this place.

One of you New Hires or soon to be New Hires should take it upon yourself to start a new thread in this sub-forum. You can title it "Atlas poolies" or Atlas New-Hire Mega Thread"
You will not be the hero we deserve, but the hero we need. I promise, you will get your questions answered there, and you can re-direct all the "contract crap" back here. This thread is a very old dog, and isn't going to learn any new tricks.

What a shame. New-hires who are actively trying to ignore the issues that could cost us all millions over the course of a career. I'm very concerned about our future if this is the apathy we face.
But, if you feel you're only worth half what FedEx or UPS pays to fly the same equipment, I can't stop you from ignoring it.

I don't believe new hires are ignoring the problems we face they're just taking it one step at a time. There's plenty time to be negative, angry, and disgruntled later on.
The first step in the process is "Should I work for Atlas?" And right now, Atlas management is actively trying to slash our pay in times of record profits. It would be very unfair to keep a new hire in the dark about this.
