Very chill. Be yourself. Show genuine interest in the company, and make them understand that the schedule and destinations are not a problem for you. Same applies to the interview.

Recommend a new thread for contract crap. Lots of people reading this seem to think it's a hiring thread...

I will also be attending the WAI conference next month and have a fast pass reserved with Atlas. Aside from the resume, any other materials that would be recommended to bring? I was thinking of printing out a hard copy of the PAQ as well.. Suggestions?

Also, I assume that suit / tie is appropriate attire for a job fair? This will be my first time attending. I would like to do everything that I can in order for the meeting with Atlas to go well. This is a company that I would like to see myself at for the medium to long term, despite the concerns that have been voiced about the Souther acquisition.

Thanks!

People come to this forum to get a feel for what Atlas is like and ask questions to see if it will fit their wants/needs. Contract crap is absolutely relevant. Why not go to Kalitta or SkyLease? Cause the CONTRACT is bad??? They do the same type of flying...
This CBA will be your bible if you are ever hired here. Don't you want to be informed when you decide to make a life changing decision? This has everything to do with QOL/pay/life at Atlas, and that affects everything. The perspective new hire must know that the CBA they are coming into now, and the one they looked at and thought, "thats not so bad, Ill try for Atlas", could be two completely different things.

I'm already here at atlas and I just don't think people looking to get hired are concerned with the CBA...they want to know if they should wear a suit and tie to job fairs. I get that an informed buyer needs to get all the information but I think we can start another thread for all the contract crap and keep this thread as a Q and A sort of thread that helps folks get here if they want it.

You want pay and work rules like the majors? Maybe we can act more like them and have more than ONE thread. Just my two cents. Take it or leave it but I'd be ****ed if I was trying to get a job here and I had to filter through all this just to find out if I need to wear a suit.

(RyeMex, wear a suit and bring a resume the PAQ is probably a good idea. I'd rather have more info in my bag at the ready than less)

Agree. It sounds like they want this to happen fast.

That is far better than any concessions or amalgamated contract as has been suggested, and those who wish can pursue their dream job elsewhere in the meantime.

A bird in hand... we are here now, so make it better for us all and those who will come in the future.
The whole idea is to kick the can as far down the road as possible. That's the entire plan by the company. They love that we fly under a non-industry standard cba.

Kahuna, I was there too that day. When did you receive your call? I'd heard that two people from our days class had been called, but the rest of us are patiently waiting.
