Sorry that I was taken aback by someone who wants to bypass gaining valuable experience at a regional. Especially when so many have spent over a decade slogging away at a regional just to get the opportunity to interview at atlas. You're right. I was there once. Then I paid my dues.

Don't think he's being a dick. The poster is trying to circumvent the normal line of progression. There are a lot of people that look at Atlas as a regional stepping stone to their major airline job and feel they are above trying to work at the regionals. Not saying the poster is like this, but it definitely illicits such a response. All the power to him if he wants to try, but he's not going to be able to do it...

I don't think that you'll be competitive at this point in your career. I don't think Atlas will sponsor a course as long as they have plenty of applicants for their positions. The turbine time is a necessary evil at this point and the overwhelming majority of successful applicants are either prior 121 cargo, prior regional, or prior military. Good luck.
