Interviewed 1/18. Met some true professionals, what a breath of fresh air.

The board was very clear of growth plans for Atlas, and that they wanted to attract high quality people as they continue to explode in the growth of the company. Interview which was very laid back, so when called best advice, just be yourself. This is a company which from what I saw, put value on your time and experience. They want to attract new professional's and maintain the group they have.

From my friends and ex colleagues whom currently work here truly love the job and are very excited for the future. They need pilot's in order to sustain their growth plans while maintaining QOL for pilot's already flying the line. Management and the group are seem to be in tune with each other, in hopes that not only improves profitability and sustained growth for the company, but becomes an airline which pilot's want to hang their hat.

Good luck to everyone in this wave, and hope to see you in a class soon.

Completed the phone screen today, was told to expect more interviews late March or early April and that they would contact me once dates are finalized.

When did you complete the online assessment and how did you do?

I heard a story of a classic guy who was sent home and was told he'd be called for a -400 class. This guy goes home and keeps his head down. Six months pass--checks clear every month. Chief pilot calls and says "Do you still work for us?" Guy goes, "Sure do. I was told you'd call."

Massive cracks at Atlas. But an interesting opportunity nonetheless.

Did Atlas "fix the glitch"?

They will tomorrow. It's better to fire people on a Friday... Studies have statistically shown there's less chance of an incident if you do it at the end of the week. ;-)

I just heard the St Michaels breakfast story in Germany. Atlas called him saying they wanted him not to feed the pilots breakfast so they could save $5 a night. He said if they didn't want us to eat he was gong to charge them $5 extra since he now had to keep track. Give that man a medal!!

Unlike Atlas management, Michael realizes that if you keep the people happy who make you money, then they will go out of their way to help. As the hotel is only average to mediocre but the crews (for the most part) will fight to stay there for the long haul.
