Atlas Air Hiring
No attitude. Not everything here is hearsay. First hand accounts are not hearsay, it is information obtained by direct knowledge and experience. But thank you for the quip.
You'd be surprised. I waited 2 months and gave up before they called. Some people waited 5 months. Totally sucks, but I wouldn't be surprised if one day you get a call out of the blue.
Well he tried to help by suggesting he knew someone personally with a call. Your response was rude, quite frankly. If you wanted only first hand information you should have specified (nicely) in your first post.

Waiting...
For those waiting weeks/months for responses to phone interviews or the online test, be patient and keep after it.
I applied for YEARS before I attended WAI and was finally noticed enough to be offered the online test, phone interview, interview, and subsequent job offer.
If you really want to fly widebody aircraft, work for a quality ACMI operator, and enjoy a relatively quick ascent to the left seat, stay after it. I mean that it literally has taken me years to finally be in the pool waiting for a call.

Manuals are on the ipad with paper copies on the planes. The ipad will have a subscription to Jeppesen Flight Deck Pro but e-charts are not yet approved. Still carrying 8 running feet of Jepp books on the planes.

What we heard in MIA this month:
The iPad is an approved device (for years).
The Jepps charts are approved on the iPad.
Atlas got FAA approval to use the iPad in the aircraft a few weeks ago.
Jan the 1st quarter Distant Learning (CPAT) comes out, with an iPad/Jepps module...when each pilot completes the online training, they are certified to use the iPad on the aircraft without restrictions.
Also, several Check Airman are already approved to use the devices in all phases of flight.
