It may be *competitive* to be a lower-time pilot, so you can't immediately leave for Delta or FedEx or whomever....[/QUOTE]
Hmm...8200hrs, 8 type ratings, international experience. Is that why I can't get a call? I'm tired of the sandbox and just want to fly for Atlas.

Should I wait to get 500 turbine before applying or apply anyway and mention I'm current 121 and that turbine time is building fairly quickly?
What are likely bases for new-hires for the 767 and 747?

Stay in the game. I'm coming from your same situation and I am in class at the end of Nov!

3000 to 4000 is competitive, they like to hire pilots in this range because they are a little more humble and not so set in their ways. For all you high time guys interviewing - be humble and don't act like you know it all already.

I'm at about 2300 TT, without multiplier, all military, nearly all multi. I'm moving back up to Anchorage before long and I've heard good things about Atlas - but it seems i'm pretty far below their competitive mins.
Does Atlas allow a multiplier?

Ladies and gentlemen, it's important to realize that there is little in the way of a standardized plan being used by Human Resources in this process. Unfortunately, as silly as that sounds it bears the ring of truth. Trying to find the one "straight as an arrow" route to a job here is a fruitless endeavor. Here's my advice: If you want to work here , then by all means apply!! (and it is a hoot for those who don't need a "set in concrete schedule" and want to have some serious adventures out in the world!!) The worst that that the mystery people back in the HR section of New York can say is 'no'. Go ahead and put your info in the queue. Hope to see you out on the road soon!
