What's the word on the November 30th class? 747 or 767? Wouldn't mind flying either, but just curious.

Just by doing the math it should be 767. But I don't believe there are any new hire classes in the 767 in November, just upgrades as they are behind. They plan to go to 18 per class (up from a planned 12 which they haven't even been getting) in December. That's just the word on the street.

How many total pilots on the seniority list?

If the 1142 total pilot # is right in APC.....It'd take new hire until 2028 to reach 45% on the seniority list...assuming no growth to the pilot population, 100% go to 65 (& no change to the age 65 rule), and no change in pilot staffing models.

After only 3 years on property, I'm a third of the way up the list.

1201 total pilots as of Sep 30 seniority list. Just under 2 years and I'm right around 70%. Approx 12% of those senior to me when I was hired have left.

I'm right there with ya... January 2013 hire myself (767 class, so you're probably a class ahead of me), and I can't believe the amount of movement. Great to see. With the latest new-hire vacancies included, it puts us at ~61%.

You guys have great timing, with a great company. Which do you feel attributed more to your rise in seniority, growth or attrition?

I think the #s show it's the growth... I have over 320 folks below me and as i mentioned previously 125ish ahead of me have retired or left. of the 125 or so it would seem that's split 50/50 between folks leaving and retirements (we seem to average about 30 retirements per year). We also have added a few airplanes since I was hired, a rough count would put it at atleast 8 which I can think of in the last year or so (I'm sure I will b corrected, but in the last year +4 767s from ABX, + 2 more for DHL announced a few months ago and + 2 747s announced a few months ago).
