Atlas Air Hiring
I believe there are a LOT OF pilots that gateway out ORD and MDW...and MKE...so probably base will be senior.
Atlas also has four? very different lightweight jackets you can buy. Most pilots don't wear leather jacket.

WTFover has it right. Just another comment, though. It will be a fairly intense 9 weeks and while going home sounds nice, it's hard to keep your head in the game that way. Better to stay focused and stay in Miami. Some folks did head for home when there were the rare couple of days in a row off during my initial training. There were always plans to do studying while at home but somehow they never seemed to materialize. That's just how it is. Should you choose to go home it will be by jumpseat (or driving if you live close enough).
There were several 3+ day off stretches when I went through. Most jump seated home a few didn't. People that have trouble keeping their "head in the game" during training have trouble no matter where they're at.

Anybody have an idea on how long the waiting game will take before they give a response? I assume they would give the oct 12 to the guys that have previous 121/jet experience. Just hoping theyll let me get my feet wet giving the bulk of my experience is 91 corporate and turboprop time....dont really think thwt the transition to the 121/jet world would be that big of a difference. Although it would present itself with some challenges, but nothing that is out of my league...

But the short answer is no - nobody has any idea when any particular applicant might get a call. I remember how maddening it can be, but it's good training for all things Atlas. Learn to let go of the things you have no control over, and life here gets much more enjoyable.

How long are most guys waiting from the time that they send in their application to the time that they are asked to take the online test? I just updated my resume and sent it in again yesterday (for what feels like the 5th or 6th time) and I have never heard any sort of response, whatsoever. About 2800 total time with about 700 jet PIC doing 135 freight. I thought that I would have been seen as a pretty good fit for the company.
Thanks!
