Interesting memo recently that an extra digit space is being added to the EICAS screen on the -8 to allow an increase of the MTOW. Even though we do the math in kilos.

Unless it's a higher-paying position. For example, I just moved from 767 FO to 747 FO. I can be awarded 777 CA if I can hold it, but not 777 FO.

So, as a seat locked 767 captain, I could go to the 777 as a Captain; but, currently seat locked 747 captains could not go to the 777?

Not the way I read the CBA,see pg. 167, letter K, para 1 ... Paragraph specifically for captains. Paraphrasing... Unless they waive the seat lock, Captains are ineligible to bid to any status on different equipment or even change Status on current equip for 3 years.

Persistent rumor

AAWW (Titan) owns some 777's that are currently being flown by other airlines. Apparently, they want Atlas pilots to fly 777's, too. Maybe. Someday. We'll see ...
