Has anyone been hired without jet time in an aircraft over 12.5? I have 4300+ Total Time, 1100+ TPIC, but no jet time in an aircraft over 12.5 (PIC or SIC), and no 121 experience.... just curious if I need to possibly start looking at other opportunities to increase my experience.
Thanks in advance for any insight!

You've done the math by saying Jet Blue is a little more. We're optimistic that we'll get some gains in the next contract, but right now we're just not there.

Agreed but usually it's a half day on the front and back end of each trip. That shaves off 4.85. Rig is calculated by the hour not 4.85 if the schedule touches any part of a day. Then you usually either have a 16 day line or they "optimize" your schedule taking away pay that you would've been owed IF we had line protection. Thus 72... I've had them "optimize" me from 75 hours all the way down to 62 hours. I did get extra time at home for that though.

They do hire guys without recs (15% according to the last update from the union hiring guy), but having a rec doesn't guarantee you anything. I'm sure many of us have stories of quality guys we've recommended that weren't called, or got stuck somewhere in the process, with no explanation. My limited dealings with HR/interviewing are that they're a hot mess, but I think they mean well. Supposed to be a ton of interviewing this month, so maybe your number will come up.
hey folks....been a long time since I've posted on here...I was fortunate enough to have a friend at Atlas walk my stuff in yesterday.....those of you who took the assessment....how long did it take to get emailed to you after you submitted your resume and PAQ?
I am biting at the bit to get back into 121.....best of luck to all of you!
Sorry if I come off as bright eyed and bushy tailed but if you worked in the same flight department as I did for the last 4 years, you'd be ecstatic to be getting out too!

After talking to bunch of guys it's anywhere from 1 day to 1 month to get a call after taking the test. Probably 80% getting the call in less than a week and 50% getting it in less than two days. I took the test 41 hours after getting the email and 57 hours after that I got the call. I know one guy who waited a week to take the test and got the call a couple days later. Interview dates were picked over by then but he still got one. Don't wait to take the test. Study now.
