I think the source is commonly known to be the guy who, when not busy changing the Cruise CG, has been telling these stories for a long time.
I flew with him a few years ago and it was a "done deal" back then.

I’d really enjoy it if some mentally ill Pakistani man threw a 5-figure sum at making a “3000 black 777X freighters of John Dietrich” video with good production values become part of this reality.

Well the airplane part of Fedex is the company's biggest expense in 2023.

Let's see what happens...

When has the “airplane part” NOT been the biggest expense? I’d wager that was the case with most companies that use airplanes to generate 50% of their total revenue. Also, all that CAPEX being spent to build these fancy new sort facilities all over the world (DWC, SIN, etc), plus the two brand new ones In Memphis (one that they just broke ground on in the past few weeks) has to be accounted for somewhere!!

I’d say the likelihood of a merger with any company right now is probably 0.5%, but this current C suite is both incompetent and unpredictable so who TF knows.

I heard from multiple sources that FDX management is looking at options to outsource Express to Atlas. Cost cutting measures to elimante the pilot group. When i asked who would fly all the FDX aircraft without pilots? The response was FDX pilots would have an opportunity to apply at Atlas.
