It's 40 minutes from Seoul, which has probably the 2nd best food in the world, tons of stuff to do, and you can be in Busan under 3 hours.

Safe, clean and you can get to anywhere within the Far East/Asia region fairly easily if that's your gig. While rights are being brought up, do some research on freedom as not all states are created equal. Everyone has just OneLife, make it count for you/others you care about as it's yours and yours alone.

Lots of research, they have waaaaaay less right vs the US, it's fine if you're ok with that, but it is a factor

I don't minding visiting or even temp residence in places where I have less rights, as long as I don't plan to need those rights while I'm there. Sometimes you do have to be careful, such as there are places I won't drive a car.

Incheon is only boring if you don't explore. Islands in the area are a walk to the ferry terminal away. There are national parks available within a morning's train ride. Bars. Restaurants. Clubs. Museums. All you have to do is put on your shoes and start walking. If you are bored, maybe get away from crew for a while. Pilots convince people we're adventurous, but we really dig ourselves into habits, routines and safe spaces.

Is it common for atlas crews to get out and about to go do some exploring together, or just anything together? Or do you guys mostly go for some down time once at the layover. I’d imagine with many of the international destinations you guys go to there’s a lot more interesting and fun things to do compared to the usual garden variety that a typical regional overnight gives you. At my regional it seems like most crews are just beat at the end of the day and most of the times we just wanna chill for some alone time for a while. Occasionally we’ll meet up for dinner and drinks but it’s not often. Do you guys typically get a lot more time on the layovers to do a lot of things together?

Hit or miss for me. Sometimes I slam click and sometimes I find myself touring Hanoi on a motorized rickshaw 🛺, horseback riding in Kazakhstan, paddle boarding in Guam, hanging out on the other side of Oahu (I lived there before), be popping around Frankfurt/walking up to the small castle in Landstul, go carts in Dubai (almost too hot at the time), running through my favorite hangouts in Tokyo (lived there too), Hong Kong is Hong Kong, enjoying the annual festivals in Zaragoza and Germany, Australia varies depending on the beach or Sydney, etc. Many more times than not at least one or two crew do a walkabout. My knees aren't good anymore so I can't ski with them in Almaty, but I will get on that zip line now that it's warmer on my next opportunity.
