Can anyone give insight into how jumpseating would work with a stopover? Planning to fly ANC-HKG and then connect to another flight out of HKG.

Are OALs listed on the gendec? And is that all that is required in terms of visas/permits to transit through HKG?

Question for y’all. When you enter Japan, do you enter on a normal 90 day visa free entry, or do you get the Crew Shore Pass that limits travel to only some prefectures and 7 days? Looking at jumpseating to NRT in a few weeks as an OAL, but don’t want to limit myself to just the Tokyo area.

You can ask the handler once you land and ask for the 90 day visa.

We don't get shore passes at Atlas anymore. If you are jumpseating in you will get the normal 90 day visa waiver stamp.

Not entirely correct, holders of certain non-US passports still get the shore pass.

Ah, that makes sense if their passport isn't elligible.

what about ANC - ICN / ICN-ANC jumpseating?

It's an international..

Is it doable and they allow it?

just curious.. or wondering if there is anyone actually doing it

Very doable. But if the upper deck is maxed out you may be required to sit in the cockpit jumpseat for most of the flight.

And you're responsible for your own visas, etc. But you will be listed on the General Declaration form as a crew member.

Are you folks able to see JS riders on all flights in your system?

Also, how does it work for a “connection” in South America? If the same plane, does the jumpseater stay on the plane or have to get off and reboard?

How many seats in the 74?

Thx.

Yep.

Same plane, just stay onboard if the crew is also the same.

Depends on conversion, from 4-8 I believe.
