Gotcha. I should’ve read the post to which you responded.

The "XXX" gateway program is going away, and we are not sure how that will affect the pilots who live outside the 50 states, with a permanent address outside the 50 states.. It sounds like if you have a US Gateway, your overseas travel options won't change.
To explain this further, if you have a US permanent address (which means US Gateway), and frequently travel, or live overseas, Atlas will (usually), compare the cost of your ticket from your US Gateway to/from wherever they want you to go, to the cost of the ticket from wherever you are, to/from wherever they want you to go, when deciding if they are going to buy a ticket...

My last sim partner lives in Italy. The company (just) paid for their ticket to/from Italy/MIA for annual recurrent.

Thanks for sharing that. I spoke w several Atlas fellows yesterday in Hann.. Some comments about how, since Apollo purchased Atlas, cost cutting measures were being implemented. It was also mentioned that the “only” international travel Atlas is paying for is to complete training but nothing more. IDK weather something else was communicated to the foreign pilot group when they were hired. Our own foreign pilots here at National have worldwide home-basing with travel paid for by entirely by the company.

b) There have been no cost cutting measures
c) Atlas pays for intl travel, if the cost is comparable to domestic
d) Our 747 pilots make so much more than National, that you can keep the intl travel. We can pay our own tickets and still be way ahead.

B) I’m just the messenger.
C) The chances of international fares being comparable with domestic is quite low & 0% for round trip tickets to Australia & back for the some 500 Aussies now at Atlas.
D) My second year hourly is $140 but it was $280 per hour for “76” of the 116 hours I flew last month plus DH pay. Before taxes, it was $32,812 for the month of November. This is because the company pays 200% of hourly & (200% of deadheads, normally paid at 50%, so 100% of hourly for DH on GDO/days off worked. Not everyone does it, of course, but for those who do, it has been wonderful. The 200% GDO pay structure has been in effect for about a year. With the addition of two additional 400F’s, I don’t see it being discontinued anytime soon. I am delighted to know that Atlas pilots are making so much more than National pilots.😀[/color]

A) My bad for communicating Apollo had purchased. Thanks for the correction. Atlas owned w Atlas initiating the cost cutting. Was told it was being done to improve the numbers for possible purchase by Apollo.

Mate, look mate, I can unequivocally state that dera has and continues to earn more than your last 32k paycheck.
Glad you enjoy it over at Natty - glad things have improved.

We're comparing ACMI to ACMI carriers here. Any of us could easily be hat in hand at each other's place tomorrow. A measuring contest seems a little goofy. Glad you're doing well over there. Maybe we ran into each other at Hahn? I rarely talk work stuff in person, though.
