74 is still going correct? Others have stalled for now it seems. Destinations, Bases, Upgrades, Schedules, etc., WX changes rapidly here.

747 upgrades are still happening, the recent vacancies for upgrades on the other fleets were canceled.

There was a time- there was no OT. Maybe a few trips a month. Atlas greatly got behind the power curve and has spent millions in OT and other deals with private jet transportation.

With a new CBA we are now treading water and attrition is slowing. I remember a time not to long ago OT rained down like crazy, you could cut deals left and right, as they just wanted the metal moved. “ 8 days of pay for 4 days of working. Show me with a 36 hour layover in base before heading home- sure whatever you like “

I would argue hiring and attrition will balance out and it will give our airline time to right the ship.

More and more I’m counting on less hours a month. 150 was the norm.

It wouldn’t surprise me to see the majority of us on 64 hours, with the senior guys and gals collecting 100, covering the slack.

As OT slows the senior people will notice this and be more inclined to pick any OT trip, over picking and choosing their trips as in years past. This will grind the OT to become even more senior.

No one comes to Atlas for the money, they come for a job.

Plan on 64 and 17 a month.

Thank you to everyone for all of the in depth information. Can anyone elaborate on the typical cities that come up for out basing every month, and how long it would take a new hire FO to be out based. Also, if anyone has had any personal experience doing out basing on the 747 if they can share their full experience i’d greatly appreciate it

ICN and HAHN. You will be on the hook for everyday for the month. 32/7 where it applies.

Only a handful each bid- awarded based on seniority.

You wouldn’t get any days off in the out basing city?

Your time off is your rest period and 32/7 where they fit. You are on the hook for the entire month that you are outbased.

Only legally/contractually required 32/7 and other rest breaks, and ICN guys seem to get an occasional heavy rest in ICN, but don't count on that if they send you to HNL/SYD/ANC.

Right now outbase guys make crazy money, but that won't last forever so better not count on it.

The outbasing is something that really interests me, so thanks for clarifying the days off etc. I wonder if it would be possible for a first year FO to hold an out based line

Thanks for clarifying! Are they making more than the 130/hr basic guarantee that they get?
