Maybe you should show a modicum of respect for the insights that people develop when they’ve been on property for longer than 3 seconds.
Aviation is unpredictable. ACMI, even more so. While *on some fleets* and *for the time being* OT opportunities might be plentiful, there is a reason that everyone who has been here for more than 5 years tells people to budget for minimum guarantee. Just because you can make bank VXing *right now*, who knows if that will be the case in 3 months when a new hire hits the line.
Base your budget and long term financial planning on minimum guarantee. If we are blessed enough to continue to be able to make more money than that, then you can pay down debt / buy toys / etc. But anyone who comes to Atlas “needing” to credit a certain number of hours per month in order to make ends meat is setting themselves up for failure.

Okay. Ask how many 767 New hires are getting OT tips on VX. I would say next to zero. OT on the 767 has all but dried up.
Sure you can pull a trip or two on VX on 777 or 747. But after 19 days of busting your a$$ around the world, and commuting - not sure there is much gas left in the tank for VX.

I think that this touches on something of which prospective new hires need to make themselves aware. The operations here are so different between the various fleets that it can basically feel like a different airline depending on what fleet you are on. So, if you know someone who is on the 747 here who relates to you what life is like "at atlas", but you get hired onto the 767 (or vice versa), you'll be in for something a rude awakening. Each fleet has its pros and cons, but they are also very different from each other. Keep that in mind when making comparisons, or when someone tells you what to expect here.

Absolutely, which is why I always inform folks when they ask me questions that my perspective is from the 747 experience I have here and I can’t speak for other fleets as the schedules, flying, lifestyles are different. I have described that the 767 is the best kept secret here and the 767 and the 737 are the QOL jets lol.

Right now the 767 is a fleet that allows you to make money if you like, have QOL if you like, fly internationally or remain domestic. I often fly with FOs who are picking up open time with about a year on property. So other airplanes do one thing particularly well. The 767 seems to offer a decent opportunity to do a little bit of whatever you like. Things change. Planning on anything more than min guarantee is a recipe for trouble.
