This was credit hours (hours you're paid for) not block hours (hours you fly). It was also from a post made in 2022 when we were receiving premium pay for COVID flying. These days plan on 64-78 credit hours.

He is referencing monthly hours for pay. Some trips pay a premium because of the destination or trip length. Also, overtime pays extra for the duty day in addition to the trip pay.

Now to hit 150 hours of credit you need to pick up a trip on days off, which is very difficult for junior pilots.

Not sure if this is the best place for this question, but here goes:
which type would be best suited for part time living in Europe? I would be splitting my time between NYC and Athens, Greece. I am looking into the 76 or 777. Any and all information would be appreciated!

Sorry to bump an older thread, but there doesn't look like much movement in the last few months.
I was curious if you'd be willing to share the average flying (block) on the 747 and 777 fleets?
Seems the QOL is similar with the 747 being a bit more volatile on the schduling (per the threads I've read).
Thanks!

Expect average 64 hrs min. guarantee on the 77.
On the 74 I’d say a realistic number is 74-75 average over a year.
If you’re talking pure flying some months on the 77 are as low as 35hrs block.
