1. They will travel you to your base so you will be able to have at least 10 hours rest pre-duty. This will be either commercial or company depending on flight schedules.
2. You are expected to be able to be in base for your duty. So if you want to jumpseat from NRT to ANC the day prior you could. However, be aware that our flights delay quite frequently. Just last week I was doing the NRT-ANC flight and we had a friend of mine js on the flight to go to work as he lives in Tokyo. We delayed 24 hours so he had to scramble to find alternate travel. He ended up getting a ticket from Haneda to Incheon and then riding on one of our flights from there to Anchorage.
3. Per diem is currently 2.85 Conus and 3.60 OConus. Set to increase 10 cents on January 1st.

3. Am I correct in saying this averages at around $2000 per month (tax free/cash)

Keep in mind that you’ll rarely pay for 3 meals a day if ever.
Unless you have specific dietary needs or wishes you’ve got hotel breakfasts and crew meals and with a little timing that can save you having to pay for a meal.

I just looked back at my pay for this past year and I was averaging around $1000/month. I did all 60 day lines so was out for about 6 or 7 days and then off for 5 or so. My longest trip was 13 days. I guess if you did the 17 day trips you might make more in per diem.

*The M&IE per diem tiers for FY 2023 are unchanged at $59-$79, with the standard M&IE rate unchanged at $59.
(Can be higher than $59, but this is based on approximately 2600 counties so you may not get taxed)
So, your (CONUS) increase to $2.95 x 24hrs = $70.80; therefore, $70.80 - $69.00 = $1.80 is the excess and taxable. *Not much taxable since I used the MIA rate of $69 vs $59 average.
Public math - correct away… it is rather late at home.

Been working through all the different Topics and Posts and understand that 64 hours is the Minimum Guarantee i.e worst case scenario barring Furlough...
Now, referring to the 747 ANC (New Hire FO), what is the average 'vanilla' hours one can expect on a 17/13 (14) Fixed Line and not working VX due to family commitments - I understand that times are different now and have been for a while, especially with Article 33. Mostly interested in finding a comfortable average that can be relied upon without betting the farm, knowing that 64 hours would be the baseline threshold for backstopping purposes.
All inputs appreciated.

*Vacation months and conflict bidding your training months will normally result in the 64 hr min guarantee.

In training you can expect that much when you are in Miami. If they send you home for a break in training as they have with my class, 3-4 months, you are not paid per diem so don’t count on that for calculations.
