A couple of Doner kebab’s, ice cream parlor, grocery store maybe two, nothing significant but chill and quiet - depending on the crew compliment of course. It’s a pocket city that doesn’t interest those searching out significant nightlife as it’s not Frankfurt obviously. Plenty of hiking trails and country side if your into it; otherwise, rent a car and have at! Definitely worse places to be, but I find it enjoyable and I might be the only one.
I lived in Germany for a couple years and you describe paradise, German style haha. I’d gladly spend there long stays. Peace and quiet is so hard to find nowadays.

Quiet rural German town….church bells in the distance….the smell of Austrian Oak burning in someone’s fire pit….a few old school restaurants…maybe a castle and some hiking trails…. A cocktail or 5. That’s what I call a layover……..

Glad to hear I am not the only one. I enjoy the culture and slower pace and if needed, you can pretty much get a beverage anytime you desire. Y’all are on point, peace and quiet is not easy to find these days. At least the new elevator is up and running. All good stuff!

Long day on my part I guess but you’re not even on property and you’re already crying and moaning.
Atlas is not responsible for keeping you entertained or flying you to holiday destinations.
You’ll be on probation, how about rest on a day off? Review the 365 million pages of documents on your IPad? FOM, FCOM, Atlantic contingencies.
This is a job grasshopper, not paid backpacking. If you can’t entertain yourself you may have to rethink a couple things.
I’m with C17, Morbach is a chill little place.
