During previous downturns in the industry good Chief Pilots have made it known to their furloughed pilots that they could forward their “required resignation of recall letters” to him/her and they would be promptly filed....in the trash. Never give up your recall rights. You never know when you will need them.

Quite a few in the last year have been terminated for...I will be polite and say “behavioral problems”. Psychos please do not apply. You are expected to act and fly like a professional. Anything less will not be tolerated by your fellow airmen.

I'm on the below bottom end of the totem pole at my regional. Off of OE and consolidated but not much more time than that. If/when the hammer drops on me I'll be sending a resume over with my fingers crossed.

My point was that it may not be worth coming here if you hold a seniority number someplace nice. You can certainly come over on furlough, but there are risks to consider.

As all pilots should be. CPZ pilot group has been a very professional but yet fun group. Not a psycho group.
