If you can’t get hired at Southern at this point in time then you have too many felonies that need to be expunged.

Also, a 777 is the perfect airplane for building jet time.

I think You really need to look around and realize that this is a job that not even a guy with 2 yrs running rjs is interested in. I’m sorry to inform you but There isn’t anything special about you getting offered this. you are simply willing to do it and no one else is. I’m not trying to degrade you just prevent you from making a bad career move. You come here you’ll make just enough to have to wait around for a contract that will never come and then get furloughed bc we have no scope. Meanwhile your peers will have upgraded at a regional and now making the same as you with real qol and inching ever closer to an interview with a legacy while you are collecting unemployment and interviewing for your own job back at atsg or Connie.

Think about it. The person doing the hiring doesn’t even know the hiring standards. Should tell you everything you need to know about the company.

What people need to understand about coming to Southern (or Atlas) right now is how real the threat of a furlough in the near future is. At Atlas, we just lost 10% of our amazon flying on the 767. Want to come to southern for the 777 or because you hear that the 737 upgrades are quick? Have fun with that. Amazon can, and will, take away the 737 flying at the drop of a hat just like they’re taking away the 767 flying. DHL is giving Kalitta the 777 flying that a lot of people thought was going to come to southern.

Eventually, all atlas and Southern pilots are going to be on one seniority list. Have fun being at the bottom of that list when we lose more 767 flying and amazon send their new 737s over to Mesa.

Mark my words, we will lose more flying and there will be furloughs. Even if it’s a negotiating tactic. Ask the polar guys how much fun that was for them when atlas and polar merged.

However, if you are running an underage brothel in the PI Atlas will be happy to hire you to replace their pilot who got pinched for the same. This is all they could charge him with at the time. It cracks me up how a few current/former Giant pilots think their $hit don’t stink.

I don’t think your perceived animosity between these pilot groups is a real thing at least I’ve never seen in. We are all chewing on the same turd sandwich.
