How will the pay rates for the 767 at Sun Country impact the negotiations at 5Y? It certainly has to be aggravating that they will make $59 more an hour in year 8 (if they get the airframe) than a 12 year captain at Atlas. Hoping for the best in your upcoming negotiations/arbitration. You all deserve a leading contract.

If the arbitrator sees us a second-rate airline with second-rate pilots, they will be predisposed to a certain rate. If the arbitrator sees us as a company doing billions of dollars worth of business, then something else may happen. Do we come off like immature twerps who don't do or own homework? Do we come off like mature actors who are undervalued? We can't get into the arbitrator's head here. So, again, we don't know.
Whatever happens the arbitrator's interest is to make a judgement that can't easily be questioned or reversed. So people thinking we are going to get fedex rates and people thinking we will be stuck at current book are probably further from what we will get than folk who take an average of rates and bennies seen across comparable ACMIs. Extremes can be fought.
So it will get better here. How much better? Nobody knows. Apparently the company believes they will get a better deal from the arbitrator than anything being negotiated. That bodes poorly for folk banking on fat rates.

Again, just the facts on that page. Make your own assumption but please take note of the comparisons in all metrics to our peers.
Getting harder and harder to publish this stuff.
EDIT TO ADD: continued (substantial) hiring with no confirmed growth.......
