Some have been around quite awhile and have quite a portfolio which lends oneself to believe it will remain resilient. Anything and everything can be chopped up and sold if the price is right, timing is right or both. Truth is no one knows as nothing is ever concrete. All seem to be doing very well like any other cargo outfit ACMI or not so it’s hard to really judge as cargo has literally gone viral.

ABX and Kalitta bringing home contract upgrades/finalization is great for the community. We hope to benefit as well, but who knows. It always seems that most of us can cut desired pieces from other contracts and life would be perfect, but that’s not how it works unfortunately. Life is tough enough, it’s a helluva lot tougher when your stupid. Until I look back from retirement that remains to be seen luckily.

ACMI flying has been great if you enjoy non-scripted cookie cutter operations forcing you into some fantastic locations and sketchy ones at best. World is sketchy right now. Plenty of story telling with booming e-commerce, clothes, flowers, fish, lobster, cattle/horses (stank), race cars, bands, computers, killer batteries, mil stuff, troops, medical equip, pharmaceuticals, NFL, FedEx, UPS, you name it we’ve probably seen it or looked the other way.

*Guam was great last week compared to most areas right now. If you have the chance, go for it and take a nice break.
Guam is awesome, lived there for 5 years. Looking forward to some layovers there.

Funny you said that. Check Captain and I were stuck on base a few months ago. He absolutely hated it as a former P-3 guy stationed there many many moons ago. As a former AF guy I just need cable - It wasn’t too bad, but this time off base was a good deal especially if you like seafood, water views, etc.

Were you told during the interview about the 18 months seatlock?

My record is 1080 pigs. Several orders of magnitude worse than a couple hundred cows or horses.

You win hands down, no contest. Love me some bacon, but ain’t worth the carrying cost. Store or butcher shop works for me.

Your friends must be optimistic new hires. "Contract is coming" has been a running joke at Atlas since 2016. Reality is, a contract will come, it will be garbage, and everyone will accept it because your options are limited. The days when the Union had the upper hand are long gone. And even then, they sat and did nothing but waste union dues on beers. Thank god, this time, they weren't flying...

Definitely up front and straight to the point nothing held back. Definitely not a grunt, but a sniper.

If you’re looking for a job at Atlas, keep on asking questions.
