Keep in mind, there wasn’t “big progress” at the last negotiating session. If anything, the company agreed to meet again because so little progress was made last time. Literally the only thing that happened was that we gave the company another, cheaper, total compensation ask and the company “acknowledged” that they received it.

Default Checking in

Evening folks.

Ive read a little bit of the last couple threads. Was curious how things are going for you folks. My friends there say a contract should be signed by the end of the year and itll likely be at the very least industry standard.

Is that the consensus?

Are you guys still being charged imputed income on your travel these days?

Ive consistently been one foot out the door at my current carrier off and on for a couple years and keep dragging around instead of taking action and new experiences and reasons keep popping up for me to put into the "get out" column so im pretty decided on putting in at atlas.

Im a current widebody acmi pilot. Ive got a solid number of crossings. I have flip flopped a bit but have decided I love ACMI flying, but im not in love with where im at and im deeply concerned for its future. From the outside looking in almost anywhere looks like the grass is greener.

Also, is there some interview gouge and some insight on that pre-interview test around if you guys are still doing it. I should be able yo manage it better than in my RJ days but none the less the more prep the better.

Feel free to pm me if you're not comfortable with the discussion publicly.

I would also love any recent interview gouge. I have an interview scheduled for next week. Just looking to see if anything different pops up to add to the study. Thanks!

I am having some issues attaching my internal recommendation to my application.

My guy gave me his employee number and company email address info he said I would need for the application but nowhere on the application did it ask me for that. I tried redoing the app a couple times to make sure I wasn't missing anything but I didn't see it. For anyone that has applied recently, how did you and your internal recommend person handle things?

The person who wrote your LOR needs to submit it to HR via the proper channels..... When you get called for your interview, submit your external LORs when submit the documents they need for your interview.

To piggyback on swa. If your buddy has been here for a bit we did used to be able to state if we knew anyone at Atlas using their name and employee number on the old initial application. I think we called it a PAQ. My guess is that has changed. So he might be thinking of the old process.

SWA is right in that he needs to submit your info as instructed on our company employee website.

Cheers,
blink

Understood, thanks. I have a couple of people willing to recommend me internally. I was told I only should need one to send in. Should I have multiple? And someone filled me in with instructions on where to find said "proper channels" you mentioned so in case he didn't know I can point him in the right direction. Sounds like this used to work slightly differently.

I also found the application to be pretty simple. Attach a resume, answer some basic qualification questions, put some flight times in. I suppose it gets more in-depth if you get selected for an interview?

How things are going: A lot of the same old at the moment. Lots of hiring has people buzzing.

Contract by the end of the year: Likely. Fingers crossed.

Imputed income: Its happened to me once for a very small amount. That’s just me though. Don’t know about other folks

One foot in one foot out: If you’re even thinking about it I would consider throwing in an app now. It’s taking well qualified pilots a long time to get an interview.

Grass is greener from your current ACMI: Hard to address without knowing where you work (not that you need to say here). Weigh the pros and cons, talk to as many pilot friends as you can and get their opinion. Wish there was more I could say there. Truly I wish you the best with that decision. I know it’s not an easy one to make.

Gouges: When I came through aviationinterviews.com was a great source. Read through this forum as much as possible. Hopefully a more recent hire can DM you with good information.

All the best!

The more LORs, the better.... He needs to go onto our CrewRec section of our internal website. It will have specific instructions for him to follow. They need to follow it to the tee.
