Not senior lol.
Here is my working theory and that’s all it is.
AAWH has one thing in common with UPS and FedEx, they’re a transportation company that happens to use airplanes.
So don’t look at it likes it’s an airline because it isn’t really. Not sarcastic just an observation.
None of the big market mechanisms that affect a Major airline apply. Public trust, public image, corporate branding, economic up and down swings. None of that really applies.
Just to state the obvious, record profits when passenger Airlines are trying to stay afloat putting freight on pax birds.
The reason this is so profitable is that the cost of shipping has gone anywhere from double to quadruple to maybe even tenfold on some routes.
So the profit margins of AAWH are really inflated and temporary.
You can’t demand a new contract based on temporary numbers.
I’m no economist but I keep reading about financial indicators pointing towards a global economic downturn in the next 1-3 years.
So paying more based on inflated numbers with an uncertain future is just bad business.
Not a popular working theory I know.

But it's safe to say, Atlas is still very short on crews and I wouldn't expect the wait to be very long (more than a couple months?).
