Atlas / Southern

To be clear, that union administration did attempt to get the polar scope that was better. The arbiter awarded the Atlas version in that merger in which 3 or 4 contract sections were decided by him verse our currently open @16 open sections now the next arbiter will probably decide on looking at the current events and timeline. Bet that will bite us.
What do you expect from our current trustee that had to go thru two full blown strikes just to reach parity with what the Atlas union was able to get prior to merger. He admitted that we were at parity on a web conference council call and it is obvious it took them two full strikes vs our one roll up to strike. Their technique is flawed. Hey, it's the best money they ever made though.
We really need to start paying attention and quit allowing the gas lighting from the company and union side. I suggest electing new leadership judging from there historic actions. Maybe start with those BK flushed out for his current yes men from that last time he actually got elected on.

At"less" Pay Rates
Oh, Atlas...
Minimum guarantee is 24.5% less than FedEx, 17% less than UPS.
Pay rates for 12-year CAs, FOs are approximately 30% & 40% less than FDX/UPS, respectively (almost ~50% less years 2-10).
It's still that deficient even after their "COVID-19 ten percent raise."
No defined contribution or pension at Atlas.
FDX, UPS (and just about every major carrier) has a defined contribution,
whereas Atlas has a measly 'up to 5%' company match for up to 10% of pilot 401(k) contribution.
The retirement is a joke.
Add in weak scope protection, lackluster schedules (especially when trailing other ACMIs, let alone FDX or UPS), LTD, sick time, vacation, min. day, deadhead, per diem [outside the temporary COVID MOU], no true home basing, etc. ... add it all up, and it's pretty pathetic.
That said...
Our insurance isn't bad. Gateway travel is worth something. So there's that?

It's a little dated, but here's a comparison of Atlas vs. everyone other carrier with a contract worth anything so you can see for yourselves.
Meanwhile, for just being a "small mom & pop outfit," they're printing money -- see their Q2 earnings press release. Q3 earnings call at the end of the month, they're going to be rolling in the dough. To say they can't afford a new contract is beyond laughable. While we don't know what the union is proposing, "industry standard" isn't a huge ask.

I understand all this has been going on for years and years now, but how much longer could they tighten the rope?. I don't know Jack about businesses, but if they want to keep making money long term, it kinda needs to be sustainable?. For new hires, a not so good new CBA would never mean the same compared to those of you that have been here for +10 years.

You need to have enforceable solidarity in your ranks. Somebody comes on here like you, cracking the varnish? Shun them on the line and in the sim. No, you do not have the right of transparency. You do not have the right to direct negotiations. You agreed to this when you signed up at a closed shop.

i will respectfully disagree. When you guys first started this journey, the word was out very strongly and unofficially that if you did what was happening now you would suffer the consequences I have written about. I thought from my vantage point that you would get a contract pretty quickly. Then I realized who you are negotiating against. Unless you guys pull it together as a group, you will never succeed.
