Atlas / Southern
A response from Southern isn’t a bad thing given the current state of affairs. Classes are full up and we have a lot of applications, both on the Atlas and on the Southern sides of the house.

Thats optimistic to think this will be hashed out in a year. Last word is The Southern Union is going to litigate the seniority list. Incoming extension to the March deadline to the ISL which means a delay to the SOC. That does not mean however a delay to a new contract. As we just proved, a LOA can be made for all sorts of improvements to this current sub par contract. Management just needs to be willing to negotiate. They’ll just use it as an excuse not to give us a better contract like they have been for years now.

History comes full circle. Most of us watching this past decade have never seen such an opportunity where a pilots selection could be based upon where they desired to live or preference of employer and it actually became reality for the most part. Of course if you only apply to one it might have worked or not. It has been amazing where pilots jumped out of training even more than once to get their Dream employer which was unheard of in such high numbers. The norm was apply to several and matching TiredSoul’s insight we all said you take the first one who called. We are now back to the former situation which will be the so called “new-normal” for some, but in reality it’s just a fallback to the predominant hiring statistics of this industry.
