Default Lhasa, Tibet

Has anyone been there? Actually seen the Potala Palace? Taken the new train that has tracks on permafrost? NBC had an article about this train in its "China Rising" series. I looked it up online and it's very interesting. Relatively cheap too. I'm a little concerned about the fragile environment, however. Anyway, this thread is not about global warming or politics, so I'd be grateful for touristy posts.

I've been to Nepal and Bhutan on vacation. Both are absolutely beautiful places.

If you want to take a train ride - go India...

The "Palace on Wheels" is probably your cup of tea...

I would love to visit Tibet.
