PHX base

From what I've heard of guys there, the 'reduction' has pretty much been taken care of by regular movement, other than apparently some captain downgrades. So it seems like its stabilizing?
Of course there are plenty of people out there salivating over/spreading rumors, about it closing.

IMO I don't think AA is leaving Phx anytime soon. Good luck and hope you get hired.

I think the numbers they want are the number of pilots bidding, not just total numbers. We had 372 FOs bidding in May. There are several that are withheld from other positions. They let some out on the July bid. It looks like on the FO side, PHX is at the staffing level they want, so I'd expect to see more people get PHX over the next few bids as people leave.

PHX was never "going away." They'd need to rebuild LAX in its entirety before that was even a threat (Which may happen, but over a decade away). PHX is the West Coast domestic hub, LAX doesn't have the real estate to absorb it.
