Just curious...what are the A319/A320 bases?
What about B738 and A321 bases?

I see countless 738's here daily. A319/320/321's. And maybe the occasional 757. But far more 738's than anything else. By and large. I figured that it was already a 737/A320 base.

I think once everyone is on a single crew system (FAs are still split for a few reasons), we'll see PHX open a 738 base. There's been a lot of buzz about that for some time now. A smaller rumor is that CLT may get a 738 base as well, albeit on a smaller scale.

I don't see PHX going away any time soon, and I don't see it shrinking a whole lot. PHX has a lot of connecting traffic and makes a decent west-coast connecting hub. LAX doesn't have a lot of extra room and pushing a bunch of domestic connections through LAX impinges on growing the international operation out there. DFW doesn't have a ton of expansion room until the new Terminal F opens, but even then, it isn't as efficient for many of the west-coast routes.

NY chief just heard stating 500 PHX displacements over the next year or so.

Here come the "synergies!"

I understand the block hours in and out of PHX will remain about the same, they just won't be crewed by as many PHX crews as now. I've also heard the 12 month (or so) time frame.

All when the company was trying to shrink to profitability and stem the ongoing losses.

Different situation entirely these days with the company making BILLIONS every quarter. They're not dropping flying, just moving crews. Block hours projected to remain the same out of PHX.

No short call for me now though in Tucson. Oh well. Happy to be employed

DFW and LAX. Probably 100 will willingly go to bases back east, because they live there. Sorry for the guys wanting to get into PHX or the junior PHX guys living here, it's going to be super super senior now.
