Was alluding to the fact that with the announcement today of A350 deferrals and "rumored" fences the East at best is stagnant the next 24 plus months and could be contracting LWB hulls if management retires some A330's. Whereas LAA is increasing their LWB aircraft by 25% over the next 30 months.
That makes for a very different outcome for each group with the "rumored" fences as compared to what the view was yesterday.

That's the unfortunate consequence of the industry standard methodology for integrations - stovepiping based on status category and LOS.
Doesn't matter what position you hold for your placement on the list. It's what position you hold in the "pipe" that will determine your position on the list. The list does not see you as a 757 CA.
If I'm correct that was the UAL/CAL methodology. That merger (albeit selective pieces of it) was the foundation of the West methodology.
Never understood that strategy. It worked great if you got the NIC list and then were able to use LUS East LWB status and category positions and then use the East LOS for pilots situated next to you to push yourself up the integrated list.
If you didn't get the NIC list what was plan B? I never saw it myself.

"If" the NIC is not used I don't see how any West pilot will conclude they did "well" though.
In the end everything is a rumor until the list is released publicly. Vendetta is more willing to state absolute specifics based on the information he is getting.
I don't trust arbitrators or the process to guaranty anything. But with that said, Vendetta has publicly stated more information than anyone else and is along the lines of what I've been told.

I never said the West did well. Never said they did bad either.

The details I received were a couple a weeks ago. Have not seen anyone confirm them publicly until Vendettas arrival on this forum.
My details came from a very reliable source (first hand source). I did not get a copy of the award or the specific list but with the information I received was able to easily duplicate a "similar" list with enough detail to get an idea of how the list looks. Vendetta's source is more current and providing additional detail I didn't discuss or ask about.

No I have not "seen the list". For the reasons stated before. The committee's are very protective not to let the list out for obvious reasons. But individuals are willing to "talk" about "details". If you'll note many APA reps from all three groups are saying they haven't "seen the list" but are not saying they don't know the details. It's a play on words.
