Saul,
I don't want you to fumble around trying to pull some rabbit out of hat. This is the information and it's dated in 2007 some 2 years after AWA bought that sinking ship usair.

Wiskey, you're trying to have a lucid conversation with a couple of cranks. They're saying they were granted things that none of the committees even asked for. Apparently though the arbitrators were so impressed with the east's retirements that they gave them things above and beyond what was asked for......... Cuckoo cuckoo.

Vendetta,
Good for you. I think most that don't have a fight in the NIC battle want nothing else than everyone to just keep the career's they had. Once the NIC is introduced into the debate it changes that argument completely.
Most East guys I talk with want nothing more than to continue to fly their metal out of their bases and enjoy the significant retirements they have over the next five to ten years. Yes, some would like to change bases to be closer to home but that's not the top three protections with the majority. From the LAA guys I've spoken to it appears the same. For the majority they don't want anything more than what they had before the merger.
Since there will be no Group 2 fences pilots will be free to move amongst group 2 bases so pilots who want to move will be able to.
Because of the NIC award it has created expectations from the West pilots of what the merger should or should not look like. From those without a prior fight in the NIC battle and trying to take a non-biased view of how this merger looked (I know, beauty is in the eye of the beholder) this merger consisted of three pilot groups referenced by the MOU stating there were three lists, MB specifically stating it didn't apply to prior mergers and the West advocating for their own committee during the SLI. With these caveats and positions amongst the parties one could see how the arbs wouldn't use the NIC.
If (since) the Arbs elected not to use the NIC, and if the arbs used the UAL/CAL integration as the model how would it look with three lists?
As you describe.
I'm with you. This has gone on long enough. Everyone keeps talking that there is not a timeline and that the arbs will not be pressured by any time constraints. I do not believe that is true. There is and has always been one time constraint - October 1. That's is the day management needs Single FOS. In order to plan for single FOS on October 1 they need to start producing the aircraft routings, crew allocations, etc., so I am sure that management has made the arbs keenly aware they need a list by early to mid August in order to make single FOS happen on October 1. That is the only reason we will get a list soon, because the arbs don't care about the pilots' timelines but they do care about management's.
Its been long enough, time for the leaks to become facts.

We are a few days away I flew with a guy that had similar info and am hearing many birds chirping. Stuff is getting out just doesn't seem many on this board know yet which is wierd since most on here seem to be the most informed on most items. I get a sigh of relief the thought of maybe someday this will all be over. Just maybe tho

Yes, better tell him there was a terrible mistake. There really wasn't one certificate for US Airways and he can't be check airman on the A350 since he's fenced off the AC (that his own airline ordered). I'm sure my friends out east would even get a laugh out of it, but I wouldn't bother them with such stupidity. Apparently a no Nic rumor isn't good enough, they need to fantasize about getting the whole cake and eating it too. Bring back memories? It will be out soon enough. Latest date I saw on paper was August 30th. Latest as in could be anytime prior to that too. What's significant about that date I don't know.

I realize you are getting a real hoot out of this commotion you feel you are stirring up but here's the real kicker in all this. If you swept the board and got all the goodies why then would you even care about being separate? This part makes absolutely no sense at all to even us really old farts.

You guys do realize where the rumor comes from right? This vendetta has taken the same rumor that was around the east well before the sli draft and updated it a bit. King bit into the same rumor on c&r and it's easily traeceble to an east "management" pilot who misunderstood a conversation with kimbal stone and ran with it. I enjoyed playing with them but they have no credible Intel, same story as before nicolau was published.

Listening to some of the East characters here, there really isn't anything they didn't capture. They apparently got virtually everything. Now, in addition to all that, implementation delay is claimed, which of course Purple Turtle will have to concede and that was one of his three certainties of M/B.
