What's your obsession with clarity all of a sudden. You refuse to identify which committee is "abusing" the comment period (no concern for clarity in your speculation). You don't have any issue with the BOD or confirmation that the BOD has in fact granted any extension (no concern for clarity in your speculation).
You are all butt hurt that an unknown committee has allegedly abused the comment period by asking for and receiving a forty day extention on the comment period.
You are very animated about something you supposedly know so little about and really have no confirmation about.
Your passion seems inexplicably to outpace you actual knowledge of the circumstances.
It seems more plausible that you are passionate because you know something (distasteful to you), that you refuse to be clear about. It's hard to have sympathy for such obscurity.

I have no knowledge whatsoever of any "comment period abuse" or delay causing "BS hoisted at the west pilots". As far as I know the BOA is imminently fair and efficient. You on the other hand are nearly apoplectic about something you obviously know, yet you feign ignorance.
Are you now saying that one of the three committees causing the "abuse" is the LAA or East committee, and not the West committee?
If you want to cry on our shoulder you at least need to be honest about what you know/what is bothering you.

No BS. The West pilots are the ONLY group going to come out unscathed. Crap airline with crap pay and benefits dragging down the industry since inception. They will now have access to a global network with massive increases to their compensation, and even at the bottom of the list will be light years ahead of where they should be. The list will treat them much more fairly than the bottom as well. They are not victims, they are victors, no matter how you slice it.

Lucky - in the mid 80's every surviving legacy airline had young guys hired. The same opportunity exists for the current younger new hires. The West guys, due to their age, will do ok as Blaine mentioned.

As long as the merger system has subjectivity in it, there will be winners and losers. My opinion is that AWA hit the lottery, no matter the outcome of the SLI, and actually hit the lottery twice by being anywhere but the bottom of the new list.
You disagree, and the world will keep spinning. I would have loved to see an AWA/Allegiant merger and seen the arguments of the West committee--and the Allegiant committee for that matter.
