Definitely just vacation. Committe comments will mostly make for a good bird cage floor covering, but the whole process (complexity and duration) makes everyone go "ooh, ahh".

How come pilots need arbitrators to figure out seniority..(the FAs did a better job negotiating too)? Bob Crandall warned the pilots and said they should figure out seniority for themselves. We shall see. We shall see.
Perhaps it's simply courtesy AND it works for the arbs. The company actually might like more time to get past most, if not all the Summer flying in case too many pilots become ill from stress upon seeing the list and they're big fans of kick-the-can.

As far as why pilots need arbitrator's ?

I'm surprised you even consider such a question. It's well known that among the traits of Airlinii Pilotus, agreement isn't one of them. Considering this species penchant for self-destruction (and predictability), it's a not surprising. In fact, even when this species DOES have an arbitrator, they.......well, don't really have an arbitrator.

Some are civilized enough to just live by contracts. Things would be less expensive if men preferred to be led by men courageous enough to eschew outsourcing their own tedious duty for self preservation. Alack alas

No idea of the probability of changes but it's a possibility.
August it will be.

If only. I thought the same thing when after USAPA agreed to the MOU provisions and Roland then announced to the arbitrators USAPA's intention to turn their backs on everything and withdraw because of the 9th's ruling.

But then again, IMO USAPA was never part of this civilization.

Opinions and ignorance are both free, unless you spend millions on courts and lawyers in an attempt to persuade them to rewrite contracts into terms you wish you had signed. At least you never bought a gaudy tie.

Not one word changed. Booyah.

He is/was. During the SLI process, he recused himself from the BOD and named a DDR. After the SLI, he resumed his duties at the BOD. Further, when ever the BOD discussed seniority/SLI he would excuse himself from the meeting.

Most recently he has named a DDR for the next 3? weeks during the commentary/rebuttal of the SLI draft.

So he has not viewed the draft list?

Sounds to me like he has seen it, i.e., he wears his BOD hat unless there is active SLI business, then turns it backwards and canoodles with the West committee while his designee warms his BOD seat and dips into the Fort's liquor cabinet.

Rest easy alpa shill you will get your seniority number that reflects your longevity with a major airline, not your alpa longevity. You may thank your predecessor alpa "leaders" for this.

You will get your major airline longevity placement, I saw your placement already.

Three lists and MB arbitration. There were no alpa shill "pilot neutrals" allowed. Attempted 9th judicial interference trumped by labor laws.

Say his to that scab continental airline pilot and former alpa president prater for me.
