If I remember correctly, East pilots got a year of LifeLock out of this deal.

Scary, how limited the memory out of PHX is.

Article did not say what the FBI did about that horrible crime. Normally in situations like that the justice department moves rather swiftly especially when they are sure a crime was committed and they have the suspects. So did these people have to pay for that lifelock thingy?

Talk about melodramatic all of the names, phone numbers and emails address are available on the APA site as well however I doubt that there will be any mass rush to accuse them if identity theft.

Nope. Didn't have to pay.

SSN were somehow "hidden" in a spreadsheet. Or it could just have been another evil east "fabrication" of ... (nevermind).

I have no idea, you would have to tell me on that on. I'm just spit balling here but since the FBI did zero I have to assume that they too saw no crime. The east are who they are and if they are evil fabricators then that's who they are. I best be careful seeing as how I am part of the "160" and that worries me greatly

You can't steal public information. That was one of the most ludicrous accusations of this whole farce.

Social Security Numbers are "public information?" Sure, they're widely exposed these days, but the point really is this: Was it appropriate for Scherrf to hand over that database to his pals at the mighty Army of Leonidas? And for what purpose....so they could more completely spread their (mostly BUII$HIT) propaganda?

The Company certainly wasn't helping East pilots do the same thing, but all the while claimed they were neutral.

This was a dark period in our history, where lines of decency and privacy were being crossed. Where's the "integrity" in that? You know damn well you wouldn't want the company turning over your information to someone who meant you harm and detriment.

The main problem is there was never any proof that any ss numbers were involved. This is why the federal government told them to pound sand. They saw all the evidence and made a determination that there was no crime nor any intent to inflict harm. The company offered to buy life lock in order to end it right there and be done with it. The company also knew all along that there was no crime committed or any sensitive information passed. Everything that they had was public information. If there had been, people at a minimum would have lost their employment and that just didn't happen either. I repeat my previous in that the east once again was being melodramatic.

Easy for you to say, your personal data wasn't compromised.

Just because you couldn't prove anything doesn't mean that this data wasn't to be used for some questionable intend.

If you believe that the affected party is being "melodramatic", why don't you publish your ssn or send it to your favorite East buddy?

Edit: I believe USAPA paid for LifeLock, and not the company.
