Its rather unfortunate but I feel they are hinging their hopes upon some of the panels questions thinking that it was the final rule. It really sets up a dynamic of an epic let down if it fails to go as he thinks it will. The main problem with that when you break it all down is fact that only one group would have prevailed and wouldn't you know it would be the LUS East guys. The LAA guys would just be along for the ride and basically the former AWA guys all become furlough fodder ever for a hand full of 3rd list pilots.

It always better to wait and see if the dog really bites rather than poke a stick through the fence just to **** him off.

I wouldn't put my eggs in ANY basket. Nic is it? Nic is dead? I'm content (well, impatiently content) to wait and see what the final SLI looks like. I don't think the purpose of the draft was so that it could get leaked and a response from the pilots could be gauged *(possibly one of the dumbest things I have ever heard anyone suggest). I would propose the possibility the Arbs had some feelings of which subgroups MIGHT get a thumb pressed on the scale in their favor but they wanted the individual parties to make a clarification of "why". Then again, maybe that's just wishful thinking. I don't profess to have any sort of background that I can use to justify that position but if the Arbs were comfortable with the draft being a near final product, I think we'd have seen the final outcome by now. I suspect those individuals who have significant insight into the process and foray into these web-boards probably do so for personal amusement, not to try and champion a particular idea.

But.....what do I know? Truthfully, not much.

The numbers just kept you guys from getting the SLI you thought you should get, and eventually forced MB.

It's a matter of MB now. If ours had been a battle of wits it would have turned out worse for you guys than it did.

Nothing. One of the last APA emails was simply titled, "SLI Arbitration Decision and Award." Made me think the list was out. It was just a we-don't-know-anything" blast.
