Default AA retirement data on APC

It only shows the LAA data so it's short 215-278 LUS retirements per year 2016-2024. Most years it's 264-278.

APA website negotiating section has a contract comparison with retirement data for the next nine years.

Sliceback does the APA website include the LUS retirees? I'm assuming it does since you quoted the numbers. It'll be nice when APC reflects the actual numbers for AAG.

APA site shows only the retirements of the "Superior Pilots" in every way,
per presentation to the BOA. Ha.
LUS about 300 age out a year for the next 10 years.

Hey Cap'n Big - I've seen a lot of LUS posters make remarks like yours which suggest LAA pilots have a negative opinion of LUS pilots. I'm a '14 hire, so I'm unscarred by all the bad times folks had post 9/11. No grudges, no axe to grind. I'm here to tell you, I have never once heard an LAA pilot state or imply that LUS pilots are in any way inferior.

When LUS pilots come up, there are two main topics: 1) where will everyone want to go once the legacy bases are opened up to the entire pilot group (and, of course, what opportunities or challenges will it involve for guys in my bid-status), and 2) will the dilution effect of new hires plus cross-pollination b/t bases help dampen the feud b/t east & west. None of us want to deal with that going forward.

If I wind up in your right seat, I look forward to working with you, learning from you, and I'll do my best to support you in every way.

respectfully,

Hubble

if you're not careful that kind of talk will eliminate 90% of the posters on APC and then where will we be? no more advertising revenue, the site fails for lack of use, the decrease in commerce ultimately causes a recession then depression, and finally world chaos and revolution. Gotta be careful with those wags.

Hubble,
I 100% agree with you. I'm a new hire put on the LUS side and most guys I meet feel the same as you. No real trash talking or stabs, the only trash talking I ever really hear is on these threads. Sure it happens out on the line but far less than what we read.

On a different note I looked on APA for the April JCBA comparison as Sliceback alluded to and it was a good read on contract comparison. I was a little shocked to see how far off our medical and dental is though compared to the others. Hopefully in 2019 we can reevaluate that.

I don't think any conflict between LAA and either East or West pilots will be that significant once mixing starts. East/West mixing probably more so to varying degrees. Thankfully, most pilots don't drag incendiary emotional baggage into the cockpit.

Superior is arbitration language. Higher pay is 'superior'.
