I The Eagle, er Envoy pilots down and told him "NO"! Not once, but Three times. Unfortunately, PSA and PDT couldn't see all this and told him "Yes". If Parker can drive the cost of the regionals down enough, he'll be asking you to give up your 190's, or group 2 aircraft to the regionals, or threaten your pay under that you agreed to in the MOU. What'll be next? MD80's, 737's? .

Yes. You're welcome! Actually, and in all fairness, we are trying to preserve those jobs at the mainline so that we have a decent job there to 'graduate' to, if you will. We would much rather stick to smaller airframes (since that is all they will pay us for) while at the regionals, so that it makes for more pilot seats available for us to get hired into at the mainline. I'd rather fly the group 1 aircraft at mainline, at mainline pay, than fly the same aircraft at Eagle, for Eagle pay. Does that make sense?
Having said all of that, I doubt that the good folks at APA would fall for giving up scope. I think it will be a non-issue. They are smart enough to fight like hell to keep as much flying in house as they can. As they should. What I was saying in the original post, is that by the regionals capitulating to more concessions, it would make for more effort for APA to justify keeping flying in house (retain scope).

nailed it...as they voted 77% to continue the downslide/wipsaw of the regionals

Eagle is full of good guys, I commuted on them for years. Really a good group and very professional. I'm glad they have a flow and hope everyone can escape commuter-ville but the reality is, that's just how the regionals are. Sucks. I pinch myself every time I sign in for a trip at mainline, guys who spent little or no time at the regionals have no idea how bad it is compared to here.
If we up scope to 81/88 seats etc. kiss the 190's goodbye and 200+ guys as well. I thought the APA was anti-giving up more scope? Or just for the right price? DAL is getting 88 110 seat B717's, that's roughly 1,000 guys!
