Parker and Kirby said they could not pay us industry standard pay without industry standard revenue...

Now that they have record freaking billions per quarter, they are going to hold us hostage and refuse us industry pay, unless we agree to bust open to a new land grabbing scope allowance...

Like a leech they will never quit sucking until you ween them.

Say no to scope, and take it down the arbitrator route. As that 60 day clock runs, we need to fly our contract period!! Let the chips fall where they may.

I believe they want harmony, not animosity. Not because they want us all to get along, but because it helps meet their metrics, thus making more money and in turn satisfying wall streets expectations.

Does not the arbitration route have a 40 million dollar cap on improvements. That is less then a 2% raise. Can the arbitrator make changes in the scope section?

Pardon me if this has already been addressed, but in my opinion this is the aircraft that is desired by management and directly related to them seeking the scope relief:

E175-E2

The next gen 175 will have a range close to JFK-LAX. If mainline allows this thing to be flown by "regionals" on what is essentially a "C" scale, the next step will be the furlough and recycling of junior mainline pilots into the right seat of this machine.

Passion on steroids.

We fought like hell screaming and kicking to limit our scope to what it is now.

If JCBA goes to arbitration scope is not up for grabs (we fought like hell to get management to put that stipulation in our current contract).

Management will entice us with a pot of gold to give more scope relief.... But that money is only for a year (the contract provides Delta parity next year anyway), and only amounts to a $100M or so.... But scope provides management hundreds of millions every year in perpetuity ($$Billions).

Run the numbers. Don't give on scope no matter what they lure you with.

Scope is not only about us.. UAL and DAL pilots are ringing our phones off the hook saying "W..T..F.. do we hear about you guys thinking about talking scope concessions? Over."

Arbitration guarantees a minimum of pay parity, average of Delta and United beginning in January of 2016. In addition to that I believe that it guarantees a minimum of $80 million (someone verify this number) per year in other contractual improvements with no changes in scope.

Right now we are negotiating for earlier and greater pay raises, hopefully greater gains in work rules, and potential profit sharing. The downside is that it sounds like the Company wants a 5 seat scope give to obtain these things.

First off, if it goes the arbitration route, you can still negotiate with the company. As for scope, it's off limits and cannot be arbitrated.

As for the 40 million, it's actually cost neutral which would be 0. But remember we get the avg of united and delta on jan1/2016.(hopefully delta pilots sign their new contract by then.

So, if they play hard ball, we still get a raise, it's just delayed. What do they get? A ****ed off pilot pool, no increase in RJ seats, And a regional pilot shortage which will result in giving routes back to mainline to maintain ASM. ( they already gave back DEN and MSP out of ORD due to lack of crew for the EMB 175).
NO SCOPE GIVEAWAY!!!
