I agree absolute BS a new hire can get something a 6 or 8 year guy cannot.

The APA is so focused on this stupid jumpseat thing that they are missing the bigger picture.

Your opinion means what?

There are active pilots getting LAX.

Occasionally new hires get the 75/76. There is nothing to stop the company from putting new hires in group4 aircraft. This is something APA should be giving some attention to.

Thank you

Probably a couple years. There are a bunch of pilots that want ORD that haven't had a chance yet since we merged lists. It doesn't look like they've been adding anyone there lately, so it will probably take a while to get through the backlog. I'm a June '14 hire and would be 80% on the 737 there, so it's not super senior. They don't have the Airbus there and currently no plans. If you want ORD, you should probably bid the 737.

Junior guy is a March 2016 hire. They got the award back in Aug 2016. No movement at the bottom since then.

April bid run the junior award went to a 787 FO hired in Nov 1991. No n/b slots.

Might be six months, might be three years.

Junior guys, especially trying to get into bases with little movement, have to but a bid in for that base and leave it. The moments when a slot drops to your seniority might be few and far between. Worst case example is the guy who wanted to enjoy the summer and then go to upgrade school. Summer of 2001. Six or seven years later he got his upgrade.

^^ Regional guys typically understand that. Military guys have less familiarity with base bidding.

A squadron-mate of mine just got video invite this week. He's a tanker IP with around 3,000 hrs mil with very little civ time. Applied about a year ago. Never went to a job fair.

Say what!!!?!?? Check your 3XP, no new hire has been awarded 75/76 in nearly 2 years.

I thought there were some more recent than that on the east side. I know some got the 75/76, displaced onto the A-320, displaced again to E-190.
