American interviews and class dates

Slayer,
When your airline is making humongous profits, you GET things. Tit-for-Tat negotiating is just soooo 2003. FWIW, Group 4 peaks out at $420k.
I believe this deserves it's own thread, doesn't really belong here. Unless of course, your intent is to scare people off.

When "your airline is making humongous profits, you GET things". Really? Name one time in the history of the business that has been true without a union having to conduct a negative media campaign after an extensive negotiating process. If that is true why didn't we "GET things"? Answer, because that's not reality in the airline business and never has been. That's not reality in most businesses. You clearly do not understand how business works, or in our case how DP works. You'll get nothing for free. We had to sell the only things that were worth the paper they were written on in the green book just to get industry standard pay rates. And, there were only a few. None of which would affect you. The only thing close would be the midnight bounces in the sim that your copilots will have to do. I'm sure you take the landings to maintain currency

Also, I have no intent to scare anyone off. I honestly could care less. If someone is coming from a regional or LCC with no other offers than by all means it's a good jump. For Military guys/gals and people with other Legacy offers, I would not come here unless you live in a fortress hub and really hate commuting. It will get better at AA, I honestly believe that. It's just going to be a long time. As a potential new hire with no seniority, I say it's not worth the wait. Go somewhere with a unified solid pilot group. That's a subjective thing but I can tell you it isn't AA

"Any new gouge for the internet interview?"
-----
Not really gouge, per se, just common sense. Practice and don't have any distractions when you record your answers. Keep it cogent, calm and smooth. Two minutes per question is a good max.

Recently completed the interview...err, recruiting, process. Having interviewed at Delta, SWA and AA I have to say that AA is the best interview experience hands down. In addition to air travel (obviously) they also paid for the hotel. They did all the paperwork that the others wanted me to bring and the interview itself was in a museum sitting next to a phucking DC-3!

Sorry, I had to
Congrats on all the interviews and choose wisely. To me where you want to live is 51% of your decision.
