There's nothing squirrelly in my background/record so hopefully I'll hear something soon.
I wouldn't sweat it, in the past the F2F invite could be 6 to 9 months or even a year after the video. I think they try to time them based on their needs. You'll probably hear something in the next few weeks. Also IIRC, they don't always invite the F2F in the same order as completed the video.

You're right, I'm just excited to get to the next phase. I'm fortunate to have received the first 2 parts. Thanks.

You only get Per Diem on the days you work. If you fly home on weekends during training to don't get per diem. If you stay over the weekends don't quote me but I don't think you get it either. I flew home every weekend.

Hey guys - Wondering if anyone recently interviewed/hired has any insight they'd like to share.

1) Is AA big on the jet PIC thing?
2) Are they putting a lot of weight on the college GPA?
3) As always, the airlines certainly prefer military (eps. DAL). What's the breakdown of mil/civilian hired?
4) How long did it take to hear anything after you applied?
5) Are internal Recs helping?

Really appreciate the help.

I don't think you'll get a totally accurate answer on this unless you talk to somebody on the hiring board. More PIC is better, jet PIC is probably better than turboprop PIC, I don't think college GPA is a huge deal, but maybe more of a tie-breaker for somebody who's close.

If you go back this thread you'll see stats, but the hiring favors military. In my interview class of about 20 last year, all but two or three were current or former military. The class behind me was about the same.

This is picking up now that hiring is picking up. Last year I started to lose hope after seven months with no response, but found out that a lot of folks in my interview group waited more than a year before they were called. Now that hiring his picked up, I have two buds who were called for a video interview within a month or two of submitting their applications.

These aren't reviewed until you interview. Word is they're basically used as a tie-breaker.

Thanks Clint! Went through most of the thread but it's almost 3 years old and stuff changes. Trying to get an idea of the big picture for planning purposes. Hoping things start to ramp up next year!

Civ/mil breakdown? May 2016 they said approx 1/4 civ, 3/4 mil.

Counting the f/t's the overall military rate is about 30%.

Any idea what last class breakdown was for equipment and base?

I am thinking 737 is the fastest way to ORD. Who knows with the SLI ...

Recent video invitee here and VERY excited!
